The Origins: Where Passion Meets Purpose


The story began with AKPD Legal Partners LLP, officially registered on 15 March 2023. The date was chosen to honour International Women's Day, symbolizing a law firm led by two first-generation women lawyers, Poornima Deo and Ashwini Kulkarni, who sought to break barriers in the legal profession.
• Poornima Deo, brought over 19 years of expertise in corporate legal services, specializing in non-litigation areas such as corporate law, commercial law, and intellectual property. Her vision was clear—to create a practice that combined professionalism with compassion, particularly for first-generation lawyers navigating the complexities of the legal landscape.
• Ashwini Kulkarni, with 15 years of litigation experience in civil, property, and family law, complemented Poornima's expertise with her command over courtroom procedures and client advocacy.
